Every student and teacher deserves to feel safe every day—from the moment they step on the bus or enter the drop-off line to the final bell. In today’s world, safety requires thoughtful, proactive measures, including access to modern technology, secure facilities, and clear emergency procedures that protect both students and staff.

The rise in school-related violence is unconscionable and has no place in our classrooms or hallways. I am committed to advocating for policies that safeguard students while maintaining welcoming, supportive school environments. True safety also means building a trust-based culture where students feel empowered to be part of the solution to violence both in and out of school.

Experience in Safety & Facilities Leadership

As a parent, educator, and school leader, I recognize the crucial role that facilities and safety play in student success. From training after-school program providers on crisis intervention to collaborating with district and government partners on new learning labs and ADA accessibility, I know the ins and outs of adapting school buildings for safety and effective use.
