Jenny is a proud Nashville native and graduate of McGavock High School. As a first-generation college graduate, her passion for education was shaped early on by the encouragement of outstanding teachers and a school experience that left a lasting impact. Today, she and her wife, Maddy, are raising their two children, Tucker and Lennon, in the Donelson community they love.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Secondary Education, along with a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision, credentials that reflect both her dedication to the classroom and her commitment to strong, student-centered leadership.

Jenny brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience in MNPS, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver a high-quality education for every student. As a teacher, coach, administrator, and district-level leader, she has worked at every level of our school system — and knows firsthand what students, families, and educators need to succeed.

Throughout her time in MNPS, Jenny has managed multi-million-dollar budgets and complex state and federal grants, led nationally recognized school improvement initiatives, and expanded innovative programs that support and engage diverse learners.
These experiences uniquely position Jenny to thoughtfully evaluate how district resources are prioritized to ensure classrooms come first, advocate for families and strengthen school–community partnerships, and champion policies that empower teachers and promote student success.

Jenny is widely recognized as a strategic, responsible, and thoughtful leader. She knows that simply saying “yes” or “no” isn’t enough — our community deserves a board member who digs deeper. Jenny brings the experience and judgment to ask tough questions, engage in productive dialogue, and make clear, informed decisions when it matters most.
When our children and our community are on the line, Jenny isn’t afraid to stand up and do what’s right.
Outside of her advocacy for students and families, Jenny is a licensed real estate broker who is dedicated to helping clients navigate important life decisions. And when she’s not working, you’ll often find her outdoors — camping, exploring the woods, and making memories with her family and friends.
